Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in historic Portsmouth, VA

is adding One PRN Hospitalist MD to our Team!
  • Family or Internal Medicine
  • MD/DO - BC/BE
  • Eligible candidates must have completed U.S.-based Residency
  • New grads OK - must be Board Eligible
  • 2 years of inpatient practice experience highly preferred
  • 12 hour shifts - flexible schedule
  • Our PRN providers are cover mainly nights with occasional daytime admitters.
  • We do ask to assist with coverage on holidays as needed.
  • Minimum of 6 shifts per quarter.
  • Up to 7 to 10 admissions possible per shift
  • Patient ages 18+
  • Responsible for patient consults
  • Night shift responsible for floor calls
  • We do not run codes - except during simultaneous code assistance
  • Closed ICU - 24 hour intensivist on site
  • 5 rounders on during day - 2 APC's
  • Cross Coverage between Day time admitter and night shift provider
