Mercy Health is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospitalist Physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in ICU/Critical Care, be board-certified, and share our commitment to providing ethical, collaborative, and effective care for our patients.
Position Overview
As a Hospitalist at Mercy Health Toledo, you will play an integral role in the care of acutely ill patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. You will be responsible for managing patient care in the hospital, coordinating with specialists and other providers, and making critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborative Patient Care: Partner with acute care providers, specialists, and hospital teams to develop and execute comprehensive treatment plans.
- Consultations & Admissions: Conduct initial patient consults, manage admissions, and ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Critical Care Expertise: Provide care for patients in ICU settings and assist in managing critically ill patients across various specialties.
- Documentation: Perform chart reviews, enter detailed notes, and maintain accurate records in alignment with hospital policies and procedures.
- Patient Advocacy: Uphold a strong ethical approach in all patient interactions, ensuring patient dignity, comfort, and quality of care are prioritized.
- Team Communication: Communicate effectively with other providers, specialists, and nursing staff to ensure continuity and coordination of care throughout the patient's stay.
Desired Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified.
- Experience in ICU or Critical Care settings preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Dedication to maintaining high ethical standards in patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hospital-based environment.
