Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Inpatient General Surgery team. This is a dynamic, patient-centered role designed for an advanced practice provider passionate about optimizing outcomes, driving process improvement, and delivering exceptional, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive inpatient surgical rounds using the Rounding to Influence model to ensure safety, quality, and a seamless patient experience.
  • Partner with executive, clinical, and physician leaders to identify and execute strategies that enhance care delivery and surgical performance.
  • Analyze data trends to inform decision-making, improve care reliability, and strengthen cost-effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with care managers on discharge planning-completing summaries, medication reconciliation, prescriptions, and arranging follow-up care.
  • Apply Enhanced Recovery principles to proactively identify opportunities for improvement across the surgical continuum.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree as a FNP or PA; active VA license (or eligibility).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in surgical or inpatient acute care.
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment, collaboration, and data-driven problem-solving abilities.
