Mercy Health Toledo is welcoming a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Trauma team at St. Vincent Medical Center. This is an inpatient role where you will work alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons, residents, and a supportive multidisciplinary team to care for patients with acute orthopedic injuries.

You will have the opportunity to practice with a high level of autonomy while collaborating closely with colleagues who value teamwork, respect, and patient centered care.

Your role

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care including history and physicals, daily rounding, care planning, and discharge coordination
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and provide patient and family education
  • Respond to consults and support efficient patient flow and length of stay
  • Perform minor procedures such as wound care, reductions, and joint aspirations as appropriate
  • Partner with care management, therapy, and nursing teams to ensure smooth transitions of care

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with appropriate graduate degree
  • Active or eligible Ohio licensure
  • Ability to obtain DEA with prescriptive authority
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Clinical experience preferred, orthopedic or inpatient experience welcomed
  • Commitment to compassionate, high quality care
