Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage patients in a busy orthopedic clinic environment
- Perform splinting, casting, and suturing with proficiency
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of orthopedic injuries, including 10-12 fracture cases per week on the high end
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and medical staff in the care of trauma patients
- Conduct follow-up visits, post-operative care, and patient education
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Bon Secours standards
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a clinic where every day is different
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Virginia (or eligible for licensure)
- Orthopedic experience required; trauma experience strongly preferred
- Strong procedural skills including splinting, casting, and suturing
- Excellent clinical judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration
