Position Highlights
As an Inpatient Cardiology NP, you will:
- Manage cardiology consultations and referrals for adult patients (ages 18+)
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists across subspecialties to coordinate and manage inpatient care
- Exercise independent clinical judgment in assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications and therapies, and ensure smooth transitions of care
- Educate patients and families about disease processes and treatment plans
- Facilitate timely referrals for procedures and specialty consults
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Virginia - required
- Adult-Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) Certification - required
- BLS & ACLS Certification - required
- Inpatient cardiology or acute care experience - strongly preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
