Mercy Health - Toledo is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physician to join Jefferson Family Medicine as a core faculty member with the Gandy Family Medicine Center | Mercy Health Toledo Family Medicine Residency Program. This full-time role offers the opportunity to blend outpatient clinical practice with a strong academic appointment in a supportive, mission-focused environment.

You'll serve as a mentor, educator, and clinician-precepting residents and medical students, participating in academic leadership, and maintaining your own private patient panel. The ideal candidate values teaching, evidence-based care, and a collaborative approach to medicine.

Position Highlights:
  • Outpatient-only family medicine role with a full-time schedule
  • Core faculty appointment with protected time for academic responsibilities
  • See private patients 1 to 1.5 days per week (varies with rotation/vacation schedules)
  • Rotating inpatient rounding every 4-6 weeks (Thursday to Thursday)
  • After-hours call covered by residents; minimal faculty involvement
  • Epic EMR with integrated behavioral health support

Academic Responsibilities:
  • Supervise residents and students in the continuity clinic
  • Deliver didactics and lectures; participate in residency recruitment
  • Serve on CCC and PEC committees
  • Provide ongoing evaluation and mentorship
  • Collaborate on curriculum design and quality improvement initiatives
